Not a lot of Texas really - just Dallas and some of the
countryside. It is big - like they say, "The sun is
riz, the sun is set, and yet I be in Texas yet!"
Driving into Dallas on an expressway can be an exciting
experience though! I think we still owe a toll because we
got into the wrong lane approaching the booths and were
on the electronic pay lane but there was no way to get back
to a "money" lane. We knew to be careful but I
was so concerned to make sure we weren't in the "no
change" lane that I got into even more trouble. C'est
la vie!

It is a bit hard to spot - but here is a stretched limo,
Hummer style. Only in America! Sorry I couldn't get a better
picture, but you are not always ready for the perfect shot.

Dallas skyline. It has a lot of very beautiful 'glass'
buildings.
|
It is one of the most beautiful 'modern' cities.

The famous 'book suppository'. It is now a museum. The
roadway here is about where Kennedy was shot.
|
And this is the infamous 'grassy knoll' - just opposite
where Kennedy was shot.

The Kennedy Memorial - not really the most moving. I think
the symbolism must have escaped me.

They have some trams in Dallas - and guess where they have
got one from???

This is the tram we caught for our trip into the 'burbs.
It was Matilda.
